D. A. Leslie is a science-fantasy novelist from New Jersey whose work blends advanced technology, mythic lineage, and emotionally driven storytelling. For more than fifteen years, he has been shaping the universe of SLAYER—building its history, cultures, and cosmic architecture into a sweeping, long-form saga.
The earliest spark for SLAYER ignited in high school, when Leslie and three close friends dreamed of forming their own esports team. That bond of brotherhood and shared ambition became the creative heartbeat of the saga, influencing its themes of unity, identity, and destiny.
A lifelong admirer of immersive worlds—whether in competitive esports arenas or ancient epic myths—Leslie draws inspiration from contemporary science fiction, classical mythology, and the cinematic energy of large-scale fantasy storytelling. His work explores what it means to rise against impossible odds in a world far greater than oneself.
When not writing, he continues expanding the SLAYER mythos, outlining future arcs and deepening the lore that drives its characters and worlds. SLAYER: Ascension is his debut novel.
