In that fathomless hush slept a solitary presence.

He was known by many names in the ages to come—the Eternal One, the Origin, the First Being—yet in the beginning, he had no title. Only Awearnes. Only Quietpulse of a mind capable of imagining universes long before they were born.

For uncounted aeons He rested, the void His cradle. Then something shifted.

A stir. A breath. The first motion in a cosmos that had never known motion.

His exhale broke the stillness with the gentlest tremor, and that tremor rippled outward with the power of a rising star. In its wake came light, sudden and overwhelming, a flood that split the darkness and carried with it the raw materials of reality—Aetherfire, Manasteam, the radiant substance later called the Luminous Sea.

It was the First Dawn, and it was beautiful.

As the light expanded, the Ethernal One moved, and even the smallest gesture bore consequences. From the weight of his steps, motion took form—first as pressure, then aspresence, then as the towering figure who would be become one of the titans. From a second breath, the winds coiled together and shaped another—Air, restless and curious. When slivers of his divine skin fell into the newborn sea of light, they crystallized into the Titan of Invincibility. And from deep within his core escaped a spark of unbearable intensity that became flame.

None of these beings were His children. They were fragments of His nature made manifest—limitless in potential, unbound by instruction or restraint.

The Eternal One was not alone anymore.

In time, He dreamed companions into existence. Gods and Primordials with minds built for order and guardianship. They were sculpted from His thoughts, their forms drawn from His will, and under their early guidance the Luminous Sea began to shape itself into stars, then galaxies, then worlds.

Thus began the infinite branching of reality, the lattice of realms that would one day be known collectively as the DEU.

For a moment—brief, precious—the newborn cosmos balanced in harmony. But creation rarely unfolds without cost. The titans, born not from his intention but his essence, grew swiftly and without boundry. Their power surged, volatile and wild, threatening to tear holes through the fabric of the Luminous Sea.

Fear united the gods and primordials for the first and only time.

They could not destroy the Titans—no force in existence could—yet they could reshape them. And so they did. In a feat of divine ingenuity and sorrow, the Titans were refashioned into weapons of immeasurable significance:

Air became a sword. Motion, a bow. Invincibility, a shield. Flame, a war hammer.

Each artifact was sealed away in distant realms, entrusted to fate and time.

When it was finished, the Eternal One looked upon what His breath, His movement, and His Dreams had wrought: a cosmos that spread endlessly, fractal in nature, each world giving rise to another. Thousands became millions, and the millions climbed toward infinity.

Satisfied, He spoke the First Law of Creation.

"Let every world tell a story. Let every story give birth to worlds. And let imagination be the architect of eternity."

Thus the D. E. U. was born—a universe without walls, without finality, without limits.
